What is the best way to unfrizz curly hair?

I'm mixed so I have a mix of white/black people hair.

I was just wondering if there are any ways that I can make my hair not be frizzy when I want it curly. I want soft, silky hair not a kinky frizzy mess.

What is the best way to unfrizz curly hair?

Try LaCouppe Perfect curls. Salon quality and salon results.

What is the best way to unfrizz curly hair?

Whenever I wear let my hair dry naturally, I use Redken's line of leave in curling conditioner. It keeps my hair from getting too frizzy. And they also have this anti-frizz cream you can work into your hair after it is dry so the humidity doesn't affect it.

What is the best way to unfrizz curly hair?

got2be kinky mousse. I have curly hair, and when I just don't feel like fooling with the flatiron and want to go natural, I run that stuff through my hair and my curls are perfect! Just look for any kind of curl-defining mousse, creme or gel. You can find it in drugstores or even at Wal*Mart!

What is the best way to unfrizz curly hair?

Use either Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizing Lotion or Doo Gro Growth Lotion.

How can I temporarly relax my naturally curly hair?

I have VERY curly hair, and I wouldn't mind it so much, but when I try to straighten it with an iron, it looks very dry, even if I use smoothing gels and straightening shampoos. Is there any product I can use that will temporarly relax my curls? Even if it's a gradual thing? And please don't suggest chemical relaxers. I did that and a lot of my hair broke off, and now I have half curls and half stick straight hair! It's ruined my sr. year. Too bad too, because when it was all straightened that way, it looked fabulous! :)

How can I temporarly relax my naturally curly hair?

I'm thinking you should try a heat activated relaxing cream. All you do is put a small amount into your hands, rub them, then work it into towel-dried hair. It starts to work once you blowdry :] The kind I use is pantene.. I wouldnt normally recommend pantene because it tends to leave residue that makes hair dull, but that doesn't really happen if you put it in your hair while it's wet.

I would also recommend getting a weekly treatment to repair your hair, or maybe a leave-in conditioner, whatever works best for you =]

Why do all mixed girls have curly hair?

All my friends who are mixed have those really curly hair. why is that. even when both parents hair are completry straight!

Why do all mixed girls have curly hair?

Not all girls are like that

Why do all mixed girls have curly hair?

i thought all girls have curly hair----ya just gotta look in the right place

Why do all mixed girls have curly hair?

I'm mixed race and I have straight hair

Hey guys, What do you like better....Straight hair, or curly hair on a girl?

I have naturally curly hair, but I straighten it sometimes. My hair is soft, so it looks fine when it's curly, and then when I straighten it, people think it's naturally straight. I was just wondering what you thought was more attractive. You can answer honestly! Forgive me for asking a question to the guys again, it's just that I'm courious... = )

Hey guys, What do you like better....Straight hair, or curly hair on a girl?

I like straight hair mo... anyways, try this tips if you wanna consider straightening your hair..

1. Conditioner for oily hair

I have naturally oily, straight hair and I used a shampoo with conditioner and then applied a leave-in conditoner to prevent static. It worked! I used mousse and a bit of hair spray and was static-free almost all day.

2. static....

i get static hair all the time...for short releif of it, use a dryer sheet. i dont know what it is that helps but it does! don't use it for very long though.

3. Moisturizer for hair Rebecca Featherston

Several years ago I was introduced to SEBASTION Potion #9. This is a leave in hair moisturizer, not a conditioner. It's used in place of, after you shampoo. Use it regularly throughout the winter months and you will notice a difference!

4. Winter hair rejuvination Rebecca

Get your hairstylist to color your hair with REDKIN SHADES...this is a conditioning, non-peroxide color wash, you can brighten your hair color by using the shades and mixing with clear to tone down to an acceptable level for your taste. This is a great treatment for the wintertime, it brightens your hair, and deep conditions it at the same time. You'll be hooked after one treatment!

5. Fly Away Hair

If you are having trouble with fly away hair try this. Rinse hair, after shampooing, every now and then with a good liquid clothes conditioner. It greatly cuts down the static in your hair.

6. Surefire Success

Keep your hat on till spring, maybe early summer.

7. To Fight Static...

I have super long (3 1/2 ft. from crown to tips), super thin, super straight hair and static in the winter is a nightmare for me. I have learned 3 good ways of combating it however. #1 Keep a trial size bottle of a leave in spray conditioner with you at all times (you can buy these in drug stores for pennies). #2 Run a dryer sheet over your hair. #3 Spray something like Static Guard over your hair (this may stink but it's effective).

8. Smooth Hair

My stylist told me that when you rinse out your conditioner, you should use colder water. When you look at a piece of hair under a microscope, it looks like the shingles of a roof. When you use colder water to rinse out your conditioner, it closes those "shingles" and makes your hair smoother.

9. Better hair

Before showering, I comb my hair one last time. This helps to distribute the natural oils in your hair. When in the shower, I usually comb my conditioner into my hair paying special attention to the tips because this is where your hair has less moisture. When I'm done I usually blast cold water onto my hair. This helps with keeping the hair moisturized since it closes the hair shaft and it makes your hair extremely shiny.

Hey guys, What do you like better....Straight hair, or curly hair on a girl?

oh.... tnx alot.. (flattered) lol... anyways... enjoy your straight hair!! Report It

Hey guys, What do you like better....Straight hair, or curly hair on a girl?

I think it's totally dependant on the girl underneath. Generally I like straight or wavy black hair and curly brown hair.

Hey guys, What do you like better....Straight hair, or curly hair on a girl?

it all depends on what your personality is like. if your feeling like nothing can go wrong, like your day couldnt get any better, your probably better off going curly. im not saying straight hair makes you seem like a ****** shut in, but i just prefer curly hair on women.

Hey guys, What do you like better....Straight hair, or curly hair on a girl?

I prefer straight, but not too straight. I am not a big fan of curly.

Hey guys, What do you like better....Straight hair, or curly hair on a girl?

wavy

but natural is wonderful

Hey guys, What do you like better....Straight hair, or curly hair on a girl?

I have naturally "wavy" hair and I hate it - I straighten!!! My daughter is a beautician and tells me to stop, I'm killing my hair by drying it out, just use product after I wash then dry. My hair is fine and currently short, but would love to have it very long, if it were pretty that way

Hey guys, What do you like better....Straight hair, or curly hair on a girl?

Thinkimg purely from appearence I like curly brown hair, brown eyes, and an athletic build.

Hey guys, What do you like better....Straight hair, or curly hair on a girl?

I never thought about it before, but it may well be the least important thing I think about when I decide if I'm going to try to talk to a girl. There are cute girls with straight hair and curly hair, and ugly girls with straight hair and curly hair. Her face, her body, her intelligence, her sense of humor, all of these matter more. Now, after dating a girl for a few months, it's nice for her to change from curly to straight or vice versa for a change of pace. Men crave variety, we just do, and satisfying this need without us actually having to sleep with another woman goes a long way toward keeping a relationship fresh for us. Changing your hair color is also a good way to do this. I know I've wandered slightly off topic, but there we are.

Hey guys, What do you like better....Straight hair, or curly hair on a girl?

i like straight hair on a woman,as long as its shoulder length.i think its sexy.

I have major issues with my curly hair?

my hair is super curly but i hate having umm... height-- anyways does anyone no any cute ways to have shoulder length hair... i always straighten it but thats time consuming-- thanx

I have major issues with my curly hair?

hey why don u go for a personal hair stylist

What do i so about frizzy curly hair when... without buying any products??

i have really fizzy hair but my mom wont let me go out and get any products so i am forced to go to school hair frizzed up and curly! i love my curls i just hate the frizz! does anyone have any tricks for perfect curls??

鈾Enn

What do i so about frizzy curly hair when... without buying any products??

Get your ends trimmed every six to eight weeks %26amp; that will eliminate the frizzies. Keep your hair well coonditioned but don't wash your hair daily if you don't need to. You'll wash away all of the natural oils.

What do i so about frizzy curly hair when... without buying any products??

next time you buy shampoo%26amp;conditioner, get the kind that is made for curly or frizzy hair. and buy the same brand of shampoo and conditioner that will help more.

there's not much you can do if you have no products at ALL, i suggest take a shower at night and comb your hair while its wet, put it into two braids and when you wake up take the braids out you will have nice curls and the frizz should be reduced.

or wear your hair in a bun (messy or tight) or put into into a french braid, one side braid, two braids.

What do i so about frizzy curly hair when... without buying any products??

ughh i think its kind of impossible.. because i have REALLY curly hair and i cant go anywhere especially to school without something like gel or hairspray in it... so yeah.

What do i so about frizzy curly hair when... without buying any products??

there's great info in this website

http://babyslime.livejournal.com/174054....

read it through first - then decide - check out the links too :)

Happy New Year %26amp; good luck!

What do i so about frizzy curly hair when... without buying any products??

dry your hair for just a minute, enough so that it's not soaking yet not to the damp point yet either. Then put your head upside down and take all your hair and put it in a bun at the very top of your head like a samurai lol...then sleep with it like that and in the morning, take your hair out of the bun and it should be perfect curls.

What do i so about frizzy curly hair when... without buying any products??

you cant really do anything withut any products:( steal some of your moms products :D thats messed up i dont understand why he wont buy you hair products. Go grocery shopping wih her one day and then ask her for just one thing and see what she says im sure she'll say yes :)

What do i so about frizzy curly hair when... without buying any products??

If you're up for the hassle of perfect hair without products, then it is almost near impossible. Almost. If your mother refuses to let you purchase frizz-ease shampoos, then you're almost fresh out of luck without damaging your hair or burning it. The only other way I can suggest is to first straighten your hair and then curl it. It sounds rather silly and does do a lot of damage to your hair, but the frizz will calm down once it's flattened, and the curl can be brought back after you use a curling rod.

If this doesn't help you, which it should, you could possibly save up for some product and purchase it next time you and your mother are out and about. The ones that work can be expensive, but there are the few that do work wonders without requiring loads of money. Too bad the holidays are over, you could have asked for some.

Hope I've helped!

What do i so about frizzy curly hair when... without buying any products??

It does help to let your hair air dry. Also try washing it at night and going to bed with it slightly damp, you will wake up with smooth curls in the morning.

How to have pretty curly dry hair.?

okay, so I love my sleep. I sleep in until I have about 15 minutes to get ready. I have curly hair and I would love to know how to get it dry in time, it not to be frizzy, and it look nice. sometimes, blowdriers just make it frizzy and it's annoying. Also If I just airdry it, it takes about an hour or so to dry and it's wet and cold and it doesn't look very nice. It someone could help that would be muchly appreciated. :D

How to have pretty curly dry hair.?

If you want nice hair you are probably going to have to spend more than 15 minutes on it.

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now well defined and healthy. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life! But if this is completely uninteresting to you, disregard.

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blow dryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a micro fiber hair turban/old t-shirts (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

- The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygienic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (avoid these- ingredients will end in -xane, -conol, or -cone). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Dry it gently by scrunching with paper towels or t-shirts- not towels. Then let your hair air dry or use a blow dryer with a diffuser.

- Use a cheap, silicone free conditioner to scrub your scalp such as Suave naturals or Vo5. Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner (salon) or Nature's gate\Desert Essences conditioners (health food stores) for your hair. I recommend using a gel (LA Looks, Herbal Essences, La Bella) over a leave in (L閳ユ┉real Out of Bed Instant Texturizer). Experiment with whatever products you wish, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- You may be able to get away with some silicones (such as amodimethicone) if you clarify with a sulfate free shampoo. Try Devacurl no-poo (salon) or Cream of Nature (drug store). Feel free to find your own but always check the ingredients for sodium/ammonium lauryl/laureth sulfate.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! I hope you consider this- email me if you have any questions!

use hair curlers

How to have pretty curly dry hair.?

try taking a shower before you go to bed, putting it in a towel until you want to go to bed, then taking the towel off and letting it air dry while you sleep. it works for my hair.

How to have pretty curly dry hair.?

I have friends w/ the same prob. First they put curl defining gel and scrunch their hair. After that, they dry their hair.

How to have pretty curly dry hair.?

i have hair just like that. What you should do, is get a very nice conditioner that works well in your hair. Conditioner is the key. I use something called Colesterol. Makes my hair shiny and smooth. You should also try straightening, it gets out most of the frizz and keeps your hair out of your face. Another thing, if you're going to be waking up late like that like I do, you should take showers before you go to bed and blow dry it then and do what you need to do.

How to have pretty curly dry hair.?

get an attachment for your blow dryer called a diffuser. It will help dry your hair and make it curly without the frizz!

Do guys prefer girls with short hair or long hair? Or ummm curly hair to striaght hair? Which is bet

I recently got my hair cut about an inch above my shoulders. My hair is naturally blonde %26amp; curly and was almost half way down my back. Im scared that guys wont like it as much!! It still looks good, but what is better guys??

Do guys prefer girls with short hair or long hair? Or ummm curly hair to striaght hair? Which is better?

Whatever works for you - coming from a guy here, we could usually care less about your hair, it's probably your girlfriends that will give you crap about it. It usually just takes a couple days to get over the shock of seeing you with different hair and guys will like it the same. But its really tough to tell which looks better on you without pictures, anyway. Ya know?

Do guys prefer girls with short hair or long hair? Or ummm curly hair to striaght hair? Which is better?

hair aint everything, if you got a pretty face, hair wont matter so much, i personally like kinda long hair, but it dont mean i think all girls w/o long hair are ugly, theres other factors

Do guys prefer girls with short hair or long hair? Or ummm curly hair to striaght hair? Which is better?

What do you prefer? Be yourself.

Do guys prefer girls with short hair or long hair? Or ummm curly hair to striaght hair? Which is better?

Doesn't matter to me. I will look at a pretty face and a nice figure, but stick with someone with demonstrated intelligence.

What should I do with my thick black curly hair?

I have thick black poofy curly hair! I don't know what to do with my hair! If I keep it long, it annoys me! So, I cut it short and layered so it would look thinner, but its still thick! I dont have time to straighten my hair every day and i dont want to damage my hair! I tried temporarily straightening ( it stayed for a couple of weeks)it but it didn't work that great!

I don't know what to do!

What should i do!?!

What should I do with my thick black curly hair?

i have the same hair just blonde. i made a huge mistake by getting it short! it just puffed out even more and looked horrible. just try anti-friz stuff and scrunch your hair. layers are great too.

What should I do with my thick black curly hair?

if it too thick join the black women in America get a chemical relaxer it will get your hair straight. don't be afraid to visit a African American salon, but if you can't get pass that stigma of a black salon try a place like Regis Salon tell them you want a relaxer.

you will probably have to get it done 2 a year so

if you go that route your willing to take make sure you condition your hair with moisturizing conditioners aften

good luck

Using the flat iron has obviously changed my naturally curly hair to straight. Can I get it curly ag

My hair used to be thick and curly. I would have to relax it with chemicals but ever since i started using the chi flat iron it drys straight and I can't wear it curl. How do I get back my thick curly natural hair?

Using the flat iron has obviously changed my naturally curly hair to straight. Can I get it curly again?

that started happening to me too after i flat ironed my hair straight for almost two years straight.

what i did was i started putting hair get in my hair (not alot) and then just scrunching it up with my hair to boost the nartualness of the curls. it worked pretty well and now my hair curls again on its own. (although i still like to scrunch)

hope that helps.

:}

Using the flat iron has obviously changed my naturally curly hair to straight. Can I get it curly again?

Stop using it for a while and use curl shampoo and a curling iron and dont relax it with chemicals it dries out ur hair, and try a shampoo for damaged hair (because of chemicals)

Using the flat iron has obviously changed my naturally curly hair to straight. Can I get it curly again?

Have you changed shampoos/conditioners? Mine is usually frizzy and poofy, but since using a different shampoo, its been drying beautifully straight. It has nothing to do with my flat iron.

I find it very hard to believe a flat iron could permanently change hair texture (but if it really did, you are one lucky gal!).

If its not your shampoo or conditioner, go to a salon and see what they can do to get your curls back.

Using the flat iron has obviously changed my naturally curly hair to straight. Can I get it curly again?

my hair did the same thing! something i realized worked for me was garnier fructis curl construct mousse. while your hair is damp your can scrunch it with some of this and it really works for my hair. it makes it really curly. if you do this for a while, it usually starts to get some body and curl back. also, try not straightening it so often. you could wear your hair in a cute pony tail or something some days. and if the mousse works, then wear it curly some days. you can get this product at walmart. also, if you want to try another mousse, im sure it would work also.

What's the best way to style curly hair?

dont use the sunsilk (green) for frizz prone waves and curls, it has the oppisite affect on my hair, also you might find applying a light layer of oil to your hair works great.

What's the best way to style curly hair?

i hasve prolly the worst frizzy curly hair in the place i livoe.

but i straighten it everyday. it tkaes time but it looks good the i usually wear it down or my firend french braids it.

What's the best way to style curly hair?

Should She Cut Her Split Ends Even Though Her Hair Is Curly?

My sister has spilt ends. She said that she doesn't know if she needs to cut it because she has curly hair and you can't really notice it, but when she straightned her hair, the split ends shows. But since she normally leaves her hair curly, does she still have to cut the ends? And besides, you don't really need to cut the split ends, right? Is there a shampoo for it?

Also, is there a shampoo that makes your hair grow faster?

Should She Cut Her Split Ends Even Though Her Hair Is Curly?

I have red/brown curly hair and I hate how easy it is to get split ends. Your sister can do a few more things to prevent them from happening fast like most of us curly haired guys/girls out there.

What I have had to do is find a really good deep conditioner. I now have to use this once a week. Since most white girls dont have the natural oils getting to the end of our hair cause of our hair being so thin (yes most white girls have thin hair even if it looks like its really thick). I also have to get two kinds of shampoo and conditioner. The reason for this is cause there are all kinds of weather that makes my hair frizz that one type of shampoo and conditioner doesnt help with when another does. I also have different kinds of hiar products I use for all the different days that my hair wants to not do as I tell. Now for your sister yes she needs to get a trim. Now if she was to talk to a salon about what she should use for her hair they all will say something different. There is never going to be the best product for your hair. Now with this in mind she will have to spend the money to find what she needs for her hair.

Now for the growth you are talking about yes there is something she and you can do and trust me it sounds funny for any age to do this but get pre-natal vitamins. They help hair growth and nail growth.

I have also tried hair products for all kinds of hair and found that I have to switch hair care products every year or so just to find the product that has changed or even the ones that seem fit for my hair. Its a never ending battle and it can cost allot of money for care of curls.

Should She Cut Her Split Ends Even Though Her Hair Is Curly?

yes, it promotes healthy hair growth

Should She Cut Her Split Ends Even Though Her Hair Is Curly?

you need to cut split ends if you want your hair to grow

Should She Cut Her Split Ends Even Though Her Hair Is Curly?

you should get your hair trimmed every couple of weeks. even though your sisters split ends don't show, she should probably get them cut. it means that the ends of her hair are dead and lifeless. i'm sure her hair will look much better, either curly or straight, once she gets it trimmed

Should She Cut Her Split Ends Even Though Her Hair Is Curly?

no shampoo is going to fix split ends, prevent maybe, but not fix. you should get your hair cut about very 4 months to get rid of split ends because when you do, your hair can grow faster and look better

split ends= evil

Should She Cut Her Split Ends Even Though Her Hair Is Curly?

To keep her hair healthy she needs to have the split ends trimmed off......curly or not. No shampoo or chemical can repair split ends.

Should She Cut Her Split Ends Even Though Her Hair Is Curly?

Yes you have to cut off the split ends otherwise they will travel up the hair shaft and then you won't be able to get rid if them by trimming the ends and your hair will start to break off ,you will then have to cut your hair shorter to get rid of them. Try pre natal vitamins, they might make your hair grow faster. check out the shampoos at a health food store, you might find a shampoo there but I don't know if they really work.

Should She Cut Her Split Ends Even Though Her Hair Is Curly?

If you find that there's a need based on the fact that split ends do not have an appeal to you, do it. otherwise, leave it alone.

Should She Cut Her Split Ends Even Though Her Hair Is Curly?

No matter your hair type, you need to get split ends trimmed about every 6-8 weeks roughly. In order to keep hair healthy, product wise, the best is to condition regularly and to deep condition weekly if you have the time. There are no products that will make your hair grow faster as it is coming out from your scalp.

Should She Cut Her Split Ends Even Though Her Hair Is Curly?

Of course you need to cut your slit ends, even though you don't see it, it doesn't mean you can pretend it's not there. You can't fix slit ends with shampoo, but you can prevent it with a specialty shampoo a stylist can recommend you or a store that has salon quality products.

Everyone needs to keep their hair maintained, so get a cut every 7 - 12 weeks, depending on the length and health condition of the hair. When you do so your hair will stay healthier and will have a more alive look.

What is the best product to put in curly hair?

Try the Curls Rock by Bed Head - they have a couple of different products, and they are great!

What is the best product to put in curly hair?

I have curly hair that goes past my shoulders. I use a variety of styling products, with a few guidelines.

First I never dry my hair, and as soon as I get out of the shower I spray either a conditioner, or one of those products that is supposed to protect your hair from flat-ironing in it (normally I'm not planning on flat-ironing but they both lock in moisture).

Second I put in a clear gel, I use different ones, but clear gels tend to be less sticky and I find they wash out easier.

Third I put my hair up in a top knot for a couple of hours. This prevents flatness on top, clipping your hair up during the initial drying time also works.

I recently got some tips from an article written by the author of Curly Girl that were pretty good. You might want to buy the book, or look up tips from it on the web (it recommends no-poo or using alternatives to shampoo to keep curly hair clean).

How to care for long, thick, curly hair?

I have long, thick, curly hair, and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend some good shampoo/conditioner/styling product to work with it? Right now I'm only using Garnier Fructisse, and my hair is always kind of dry and frizzy. Can anyone help?

How to care for long, thick, curly hair?

I have that same kind of hair and I use a shampoo and conditioner called kerastase. Even though it is expensive it works realy well. It makes my hair really soft and it doesn't get as tangeled as it used to.

How do I control my puffy, curly hair? [PIC]?

Haha, yes I blacked out my face. Okay, so my hair is moderately curly and frizzy and sorta puffy. And I've been straightening my hair everyday, and it's such a drag. How do I make it less frizzy and less puffy?

http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=6tftsnr%26amp;...

How do I control my puffy, curly hair? [PIC]?

Well if you've been straightening it everyday it has probably gotten dried out, therefore left natural it is still dried out. Just to start I would say get it trimmed to get off dead and split ends, then get a good shampoo and conditioner. My hair is just like yours and I use Matrix Curl Life shampoo and conditioner and it does wonders for curly hair. It doesn't weigh it down or cause it to be frizzier like the store bought stuff. Kind of pricy, but well worth it. Then try a smoothing milk or cream and leave it natural for awhile. Giving it a break from the hot iron will do a world of good. Your hair is actually really pretty, it just needs some rejuvenation!

I think your hair looks beautiful in that picture just the way it is. Some people go through a lot of work to make their hair look that way, lol. But if it's not your thing, I understand. I straighten my hair often as well. Mine is not as pretty as yours, though. :)

They make products like frizz-ease and other things sold at salons to smooth out hair. The next time you go to a salon you can ask them for a product like that, or you can just get one at a grocery store. They also have shampoos to tame wild hair. I hope this helps.

How do I control my puffy, curly hair? [PIC]?

straighten it and put on frizz-ease oil

How do I control my puffy, curly hair? [PIC]?

Find a shampoo %26amp; conditioner that is for moisture and/or curl. I use either Sun Silk (green bottle I think) or Bed Head Curls Rock (more expensive). Both work really well. After showering, use a hair serum, Zero Frizz, Frizzeaz, something like that. Then mousse it. It'll take some time to find what works for you, so don't spend alot of money on product until you find what works for you. Good luck.

How do I control my puffy, curly hair? [PIC]?

Oooh, you have beautiful hair. I know a girl that goes to my school with a similar style, but she has a side bang and straightens that, and she's really pretty. :) But, good luck with your hair.

How do I control my puffy, curly hair? [PIC]?

You should get a straightening shampoo and a moisturizing conditioner. Then straighten your hair and use a frizz eliminator like Silky Sexy Hair, by Sexy Hair.

If this doesn't work you might need to get a better straightener.

How do I control my puffy, curly hair? [PIC]?

I know how you feel.

I also have very curly, frizzy and thick hair. I used to straighten it everyday which damaged the crap out of it and made it look 10 times worse. My advice to you is that you stop straightening it and do the following:

When you're done washing your hair, mix a little bit of conditioner and good gel and put it on your hair. This should get rid of the frizzyness and add definition to your curls. Re apply if needed and spray with hairspray if you'd like but i prefer not to since hairspray can get flaky sometimes. Remember not to put too much gel on at once since it can also flake up and really tangle your hair.

This advice is coming from some one with a lot of experience so i hope i helped! It took me 2 years to PERFECT my hair. Now i can say it's a 10/10!

Good Luck! %26lt;3

How do I control my puffy, curly hair? [PIC]?

oh my god. that is my hair before i figured out what to do with it. dont worry, u can tame it =)

ok, get a shampoo and conditioner set for curly hair (i like garnier fructis). shampoo every other day, condition every day. leave the conditioner in for a minute before rinsing.

ONLY brush your hair while in the shower. if you brush it after, itll turn into a poofy mess

when your hair is damp, squeeze some mousse into your hands and squish it thru your hair. scrunch it up!

spray your hair with hairspray and scrunch a little more. let it air dry. should look pretty good =)

i recommend using suave hairspray and mousse- really cheap but works wicked good

good luck!

How do I control my puffy, curly hair? [PIC]?

MAKE SURE YOUR CONDITIONER DOESN'T HAVE ALCOHOL.......

My sister's hair is poofy-er and she is so frustrated also.

She uses a product that is a curl enforcer spray, and it keeps her curls frizz free (if she doesnt excessivly touch it) for the whole day.

Also use John Frieda Hair Serum-- THE BEST

Good Luck!

What are some good cheap hair products for curly hair?

If you are looking for something to control frizz, I recommend Pantene Smooth and Sleek conditioner.

My hair isn't really curly, but it has enough curl to make it really frizzy and this is the best conditioner I've found. I haven't tried the shampoo, but I would guess it is just as good.

What are some good cheap hair products for curly hair?

frizz ease

What are some good cheap hair products for curly hair?

Try Suave products. They are cheap. My husband has curly hispanic hair. He uses Garnier Fructis or whatever it is spelled like. He seems to like it cuz he keeps buying it.

John Freeda's Products are F-ing Wonderful , worth the Money you pay for them !!

What are some good cheap hair products for curly hair?

You want to try an anti-frizz. There are several different types that you can buy for cheap. Garnier Fructise--anti-frizz serum works really well for me.

What are some good cheap hair products for curly hair?

Try washing it with pantene shampoo followed by lots of pantene conditioner. Let it stay on hair at least 5 mins. ( i like smooth %26amp; sleek) towel dry and apply Citre Shine Anti- frizz serum. follow with Dove Define %26amp; Shine Control Gel. Blowdry a little until hair is still a little damp, then apply Sunsilk De-Frizz. let hair dry on its on the rest of the way. your hair will look great.

What are some good cheap hair products for curly hair?

I have horribly curly hair...I was told that Pantene is the worst thing you can use due to the amount of alcohol (fragrance). I agree with one of the previous answers...Suave. Try one of those St. Ives deep conditioning treatments as well....oh %26amp; remember, some women would kill to have curly hair....(rolls eyes) Good Luck!!!

How do i get my hair to be more curly and less frizzy?

i have wavy/curly hair that is always frizzy and gets poofy so that i can't wear it down. how do i get my hair to have curls that stay and keep frizz from poofing my hair without going to the barbers?

How do i get my hair to be more curly and less frizzy?

it totally depends on what kind of look you're going for. I have the same kind of hair. I use Biosilk Silk Therapy when its really humid outside and i KNOW its going to get frizzy anyway... it makes your hair really soft and keeps the curl... i like having straight off the beach kind of waves in my hair sometimes... in which case, i just don't blow dry it, and use a leave in conditioner (i prefer Tigi's Bedhead). Also, usually any kind of mouse will usually help tame locks, while keeping the curl in there. There's a line by Tigi called Catwalk- Curls Rock... Its kind of expensive... but I swear by it... :) They have shampoo, conditioner, and hair gel... it smells good... and keeps your hair nice... use that stuff... then scrunch your hair while its wet... let it air dry... and give it some hair spray or mouse... it won't be as frizzy... :)

How do i get my hair to be more curly and less frizzy?

Try using a frizz cream or serum on your hair.

How do i get my hair to be more curly and less frizzy?

mouse and gel~

How do i get my hair to be more curly and less frizzy?

try useing a frizz cream or like a sercum i think that is how u spell it lol but yeah u can aplay it when it is wet or dry !

How do i get my hair to be more curly and less frizzy?

I know many girls who share your problem. Some put gel all over and it looks good sometimes but that's more for curly curly hair. Also, this tends to cause them dandruff. You can use bath of creme (not conditioner, usually the big fat bottle) for your hair to make it softer, that way the poof will go down. You can also blow-dry it and grab your hair with pins during the night, that way you'll have awesome curls in the morning, but you need gel or some other hair product to hold it.

How do i get my hair to be more curly and less frizzy?

I know, I look like the hair bear bunch if I dont do anything with it!

A good shampoo and conditioner like Catwalk Curls Rocks works well, as does Frizzeze hair serum.

Other than that - dont go out in the rain as that will just make it worse!!!

Can some some 1 with nappy/curly hair get a buzz cut?

my litte bro wants a buzz cut/close shave he is 7 i got one but my hair is diffrent from his he has nappy/curly hair

Can some some 1 with nappy/curly hair get a buzz cut?

Good news - ANYONE can rock a buzzcut. Hair type does not matter. His hair will look a little different that straight hair at a short length, but it will still be a buzzcut and look ok. I'm a chick with a buzz and I love it.

Rock on and bust out the clippers!

Can some some 1 with nappy/curly hair get a buzz cut?

ya, but they might charge more.

Can some some 1 with nappy/curly hair get a buzz cut?

yes but you risk ingrown hairs which are painful and cause red bumps. Ingrown hairs are from the hair curling back in on itself and growing under the skin. If you have curly hair you risk it happening

Can some some 1 with nappy/curly hair get a buzz cut?

Anyone can get a buzzcut - but growing it out is more painful with curly hair. You might want to keep that in mind and explain it to him, so he doesn't do something he regrets later, when he wants his curls back.

Can some some 1 with nappy/curly hair get a buzz cut?

My son has the same hair - we number one blade it on the sides and number 2 blade the top. We sometimes carve in some tracks. It looks too cute!

Can some some 1 with nappy/curly hair get a buzz cut?

anyone can get a buzz cut, it just looks fuller growing out with nappy hair

Can some some 1 with nappy/curly hair get a buzz cut?

yeah....but it may look a lil bit different. ikno a guy who did that and it ended lookin like waves...which was pretty cool and looked good on him

What's a good product for dry naturally curly hair?

I've had hair problems for quite some time now. My hair is very thick, and seems to be quite dried out also doesn't help that my hair is naturally curly. If I don't brush it a few times a day it ends up getting very tangled. And I end up having to brush very hard (causing quite a few hairs to come out). I've tried using some regular shampoos, and some basic (cheap) moisturizers, and they haven't really helped. Does anyone know of a good product or product type to help out?

What's a good product for dry naturally curly hair?

Trimming every 6 weeks would help also you can try Redken's All Soft or Clear Moisture. They are really good for thick dry hair.

Is it possible to scrunch frizzy, thick, curly hair?

ok please help me i have really thick curly frizzy hair and i need to stop straightening it so i'm looking for an alternative. i have tried scrunching my hair but it just got frizzy and poofy as it dried. i heard that curl is needed for the scrunching to work, but for me my curls are working against me. i'm looking for that wet, crunchy look but is it even possible with my hair type? please tell me about some products you reccomend. any answers will be appreciated. thanks!

Is it possible to scrunch frizzy, thick, curly hair?

if you have the hair thats amazing when its wet but then grows into a mess when it dries than we have the same hair, no joke. i recently discovered sunsilk's products. they are amazing. they're like a gel and a leave in conditioner in one so they don't make your curls hard stiff like gel and mouse. instead you have nice soft curls. it's like 3 or 4 bucks a bottle at like normal drug stors and supermarkets.

Is it possible to scrunch frizzy, thick, curly hair?

try gel or mousse...also avon sells stuff especially for people with curly hair...it works great and all you have to do is go to avon.com to find a representative near you.

Is it possible to scrunch frizzy, thick, curly hair?

Like the previous posts said, try avon or mousse.

How do i work with with extremely curly hair?!!!! help!?

I am part african american, and half latino. so my hair is thick, VERY curly(no waves at all), always looks dry, and very hard to work with. i have tried almost every product out there, and nothing seems to work. I sometimes just want to straighten it, but i'v been told that it only dries my hair even more, and i dont get that shiny look either. If u have any advice, on what products to use, or what styles i can do with my hair, it would help a whole lot!!! thanx!

How do i work with with extremely curly hair?!!!! help!?

I am part African American and part white, so I can sympathize with your curl dilemma. I always get compliments on my curly hair. This is my daily hair routine:

Completely wet your hair in the shower. Now, the key is to not rub your head with the towel. That causes frizziness when you dry it. You need to squeeze all of the excess water out of your hair. Then, I usually rub some moisturizer in my hair. (I use Caroline's Daughter Mimosa anti-frizz moisturizer.) Then, I take some mousse (Tresemme, John Frieda - any kind is fine. But, since you have super dry hair, get one that says "mousterizing mousse" on it.) and rub it through your hair. Be sure to get COMPLETE coverage with the mousse. Once it is all in my hair, I will shake it a bit, situate the curls, and then let it airdry. If you have time, you may want to dry it for about 2 minutes, but the key is to let it air dry. That significantly reduces the frizz. But, all in all - this is my regimen. I have NEVER met anyone with curly hair that didn't get good results from this.

How do i work with with extremely curly hair?!!!! help!?

- use mosturising shampoo and conditioner like hello hydration by herbal essences

- do deep condtioning using pantene oil replacement, loreal hair mask or kerastase on weekly basis

- use sunsilk's straighten-up leave-in conditioner, or john frieda's frizz-ease after washing u hair

- use straightener to remove the curls and wave and diivde ur hair into 2 parts.

- do tiny corn rolls in the front half and curl the end of the rolls and the rest of the hair at the back

- spray it so hold the curls so that they dont poof

How do i work with with extremely curly hair?!!!! help!?

You could use conditioner in the shower, and then when you straighten your hair you could use the new spray they have that makes your hair shiny.

How do i work with with extremely curly hair?!!!! help!?

If you can spend the money (it costs around $500 and up), I'd recommend Japenese Hair Straightening, aka thermal hair reconstruction.

How do i work with with extremely curly hair?!!!! help!?

i also have very curly hair. and i understand what your problem is. I straighten my hair daily but when i do go curly i wash it with regular conditioner and put a towel over it until its nearly dry. then i let the rest air dry.

after its good i put gel in it but not to much ..

i usually pen haft up so i get soft curls under.

How do i work with with extremely curly hair?!!!! help!?

dont wash your hair every day because people with curly hair have the driest hair and washing it everyday causes it to become even more dry and when you do wash your hair use conditioner. Comb your hair with a wide toothed comb when its damp and apply a good amount of leave in conditioner in your hair as your combing it. And if you brush your hair when its dry it will end up making your hair even frizzier.

when you blow dry your hair use a deffuser attachment but dont fully blow dry your hair leave it somewhat damp so it does not dry out.

If your going to let your hair air dry then put in some gel and scrunch your hair to tame the curls.

My niece is half african and half white with the same super curly but soft hair. My sister brushes it out very gently after the bath when it's really wet with tons of conditioner in it. She usually leaves the conditioner in it to keep seperated and shiny as well.

Best of luck.

Should I brush my daughter's hair??She is mixed and has curly hair but it isn't course.?

i dont know if this helps but i am white and i have VERY curly hair.. i only brush it when i am about to get into the bath and right out of the shower.. and i add gel to keep the curls in and NO BLOW DRYING haha i let it air dry.

Should I brush my daughter's hair??She is mixed and has curly hair but it isn't course.?

Brushing hair is good. It gets the "dead" hair out and lets natural hair oil flow. It will help take care of the nappy look. No one can help that it gets curlier when you brush it--that's part of her heritage.

Should I brush my daughter's hair??She is mixed and has curly hair but it isn't course.?

brushing her hair will not make it curlier

Should I brush my daughter's hair??She is mixed and has curly hair but it isn't course.?

i dont know where you live, but usually a beauty salon will have one, or try a hair dressers!! Using a pic is probably the best thing for her hair even though its not course its curly, my neice has very thick curly hair and she uses almond oil in her hair to keep it from tangling all up after she has a shower, etc...

~CHEERS!!~

Should I brush my daughter's hair??She is mixed and has curly hair but it isn't course.?

Yeah i have very curly hair also but i usually only brush it like before swimming or bathing or anything like that because otherwise it can it even curlier and then frizzy,

try jellling it down or maybe just brush it really soft i know it sounds very stupid but if u do it just enough it won't b frizzy and it won't be AS curly

well i hope my advice helped!

Should I brush my daughter's hair??She is mixed and has curly hair but it isn't course.?

I have curly hair..When i comb it while in the shower and put gel in it when i get out. Then i let it airdry. It looks nice.

I'm a 20 year old male with curly hair and would like to style it in a different manner. How ca

I have long curly hair. It doesn't do below my sholders though. I don't want to straighten my hair. I would like it to be wavy. How can I get it wavy; something like Oralando Bloom's hair. Are there any ways I can style my hair. Thanks

I'm a 20 year old male with curly hair and would like to style it in a different manner. How can I?

curly hair takes forever to straighten. unless you want to spend at least 20 minutes a day on it, i suggest either chemically straightening it or learn to love it. use leave in conditioner and have fun. use gel or anti-frizz serum. and have fun with the colour. that is where curly hair rocks!

I'm a 20 year old male with curly hair and would like to style it in a different manner. How can I?

sighh.....I really envy you. you having long curly hair.

why do you want wavy hair with all those curls? give me those curls!!!!

1 way is to thin out your hair - removing some curls. NOT all.

PS: my curls are at the end of my thick hair. Usually I just "bun" them up into a pony tail. Seen a lion's mane? That my hair...sigh...curls!!! curls!!!! I want more curls!!!

I'm a 20 year old male with curly hair and would like to style it in a different manner. How can I?

Use a LARGE curling iron if you are not to scared!

Is it possible for your hair 2 b curly as a baby then just rele wavy and then turn curly again??

well i had curly hair as a baby but then it stopped curling and now it's rele wavy!! I mean rele!!! But now it's curling a little more thn waving is this possible?? Has this eva happened 2 u??

Is it possible for your hair 2 b curly as a baby then just rele wavy and then turn curly again??

Yup! I read somewhere that your hair changes textures like 5 times in your life. My hair used to be blonde and curly, now its brown and straight!

Is it possible for your hair 2 b curly as a baby then just rele wavy and then turn curly again??

SAME HERE!!!! I thought I was the only one!!!

Is it possible for your hair 2 b curly as a baby then just rele wavy and then turn curly again??

omg that happened to me to. it's kinda crazy.i just got used to it

Is it possible for your hair 2 b curly as a baby then just rele wavy and then turn curly again??

rele?.....what does that mean?

Is it possible for your hair 2 b curly as a baby then just rele wavy and then turn curly again??

umn.. it's possible. if your hair is longer, it pulls it down so it won't have as much curl on it and it'll be more of a wave. the more hair, the more weight pulling it down so if ur length changed that could effect it. i don't know what else would change it.

I bought my daughter the hair texturizing kit to relax her curly hair.?

her hair is very curly and i need to know if her hair is suppose to be wet or dry when applying the solution.. can anyone help me that is familliar with her type of hair

I bought my daughter the hair texturizing kit to relax her curly hair.?

How old is your daughter? What is her ethnic backround?

I bought my daughter the hair texturizing kit to relax her curly hair.?

Read the directions on the kit. Good Luck!

I bought my daughter the hair texturizing kit to relax her curly hair.?

I'm going to assume your daughter is white since your profile picture is white. This is important because relaxers are different with African-Americans. First, if you haven't already, look at the instructions. Does it say anything about showering first, then applying, or applying while showering, or does the picture show someone with wet or dry hair? It's odd that a hair product wouldn't include instructions.

Why don't you try typing the name of the product into Google or Yahoo and looking for instructions there? You'll also find user reviews on almost every site too, which will be good to determine how the product works on other people, and you'll have an idea whether it will be good for your daughter or not.

Read the directions on the box.

I'm pretty sure it has to be dry though, because every time I have had it done my hair was dry.

Does anyone know any tips for curly hair?

My hair is super curly, and it seems like I'm fighting a losing battle with the frizz and it never seems to look how i want it to.

Does anyone know any tips for curly hair?

Mousse will sometimes tame curly hair.

Have you tried a flat iron? I wasn't sure if you want straight hair though...

Good Luck

Does anyone know any tips for curly hair?

I'd give you a list of things to try, but the list is way long. My two biggest tips would be to try conditioner-only hair washing, or using a cream-type leave-in conditioner.

Visit www.naturallycurly.com for help.

Does anyone know any tips for curly hair?

i have super frizzy hair except its wavey instead of curley. when i want to wear it curly then i tae a biG glob of curling mousse or cream (garneir fructise is my fAVE)then i scrunch it in my hair and let it air dry. if i want to wear it straight then i let air dry then straighten it. i use to blow dry it before straightening it but i found that this damaged my hair to much leading to even more frizziness

Does anyone know any tips for curly hair?

i have wavy frizzy hair and i straighten it sometimes. to wear it curly, i use a lot of fructis products such as "surf hair" for more natural curls, or mousse- with that i either blow dry upside down while scrunching to make it super curly or put the mousse in while it's really wet and just let it air dry for less crispy hair :)

Does anyone know any tips for curly hair?

i just went to the hairdressers about 3 days ago with this same problem except my hairs a smidge longer.

anyways the hair dresser ended up "texturizing" just my ends so it helps the curl ..

she also said put a little bit of some straightening product on the top/hairline to flatten it down %26amp; control frizz

hairdryer=your worst enemy, but not surprised if you've already found this one out yourself.

some mouse.. or if you can find something along the lines of a "bouncy" product that's a safe bet.. little hairspray.. not on top tho, just the bottom half.. then just scrunch the rest in place with a towel

---

also sunsilk shampoo/conditioner anti frizz really does help

%26amp; i just got a sample of biosilk therapy thing %26amp; its AMAZING

good luck. it's a pretty frustrating process

Does anyone know any tips for curly hair?

OMG i have curly hair too and i hate it.

First of all you should buy Anti Frizz shamopp and wash it properly - Shampoo rinse and REPEAT cause if you dont repeat your only getting rid of the oil and dirt but not actually washing it.

Then you put in some taming cream or gel or what ever and you can put it into a loose bun and then either curl or just leave your natural curls hang out if theres any left overs at the sides :D hope that helped

Does anyone know any tips for curly hair?

Scrunch, scrunch, scrunch. =] And if all else fails... straighten.

Does anyone know any tips for curly hair?

DO NOT USE STRAIGHTENERS OR CURLERS!

People will tell to use them, but all it will do is ruin your hair and nobody including you will think it looks pretty. Yeah, maybe the first time but once it gets fried, it is poofy and gross.

I had the same exact problem and I HATED my hair. I never wore it down and I always straightened.

Secret to my Success? No shampoo. It sounds so weird and gross but IT WORKS! Just a conditioner made for curly hair.

After I use a little leave in conditioner for extra shine and softness.

Then I use Garnier Spray Gel for curly hair. It feels crunchy when you first put it in, but after it loosens up.

My hair is still damaged from the heat I used on it, but I am on my way to recovery.

You will get a lot of compliments when you finally learn to like your hair. I still do not like my hair, but all of my friends do.

(also you do not need to wash your hair everyday, it just makes it dryer. the look the next day is still nice)

Does anyone know any tips for curly hair?

for the friz try frizz ez (by jon frieda) i have heard it works well. try using a small amount of hair spray to control frizz and style it the way you like. (ps thanks for voting my last answer best answer!!!!!!!!!!)

What products are good for thick curly hair ?

Yea so I have thick curly hair and was wondering what products I can use to keep it healthy and growing. Like what product beside gel, jam or spritz can I use to make my curls freeze up ? But not damage my hair.

What products are good for thick curly hair ?

i have thick curly hair and so does my 9 yr old daughter and my 19 month old son is starting to get them...I use L'oreal springing curls!! Do not rub when you towel dry as that creates frizz...As for shampoo and conditioner..I use Nexxus

What products are good for thick curly hair ?

Start with Aussie shampoo (works great with your hair type). Then go onto a leave in conditioner and then blow dry it. It cuts out a ton of the poofiness and frizz.

What products are good for thick curly hair ?

aussie brand dual personality.. it's a mousse and leave in conditioner in one.. it'll make our hair hold the curls but it wont make them all stiff.. and it's a conditioner so it's helping your hair as it holds it..

i use it and i love it.. and my hair is think and curly as well..

What products are good for thick curly hair ?

My hair is the same way... I use Catwalk curls rock shampoo and conditioner. It works great. To make sure I dont loose my curls I dont brush it. I shampoo condition then towel dry and I add the catwalk leave in conditioner to protect my hair the finish it off by crunching some catwalk curl amplifier and just let it air dry. Frizz is no longer a preoblem and it only takes like 2 minutes to have great hair! I tried redken curls and i didnt get as much definition as i do with catwalk. I also tried ABBA and it also dosnt give me definition and there is some frizz... but, abba has this curl reactor and it works well. you just need a few sprits and your ready! good luck

Is there anyway to straighten really curly hair without blowdrying or chemically straightening it?

i have really thick curly brown hair and i want it straight but blow drying takes to long and its very hard. any tips? please answer and i will pick best answer as the one that works.

thanks,

troubled curly head:(

Is there anyway to straighten really curly hair without blowdrying or chemically straightening it?

Honestly, no, there is no way to make anyones curly hair straight easily. And with your hair being think it will take even longer and you will need more products and tools to get it straight, not to mention keep it straight. I am sorry, we all want what we don't have unfortunately. I see it everyday in the salon. And I wanted to be honest with you. Good luck!

Is there anyway to straighten really curly hair without blowdrying or chemically straightening it?

have you tried using a flat iron/straightener? if you buy a good one (they can get expensive) it should work really well and fast

Is there anyway to straighten really curly hair without blowdrying or chemically straightening it?

buy a flat iron (or one of those funky new hair blow dryers/straighteners)

1.section your hair by pulling up the outer/top layers of your hair with clips or hairbands(note: it doesnt have to look nice, it just has to work)

2. straighten the bottom sections/layers of your hair

3. let down hair peice by peice and straighten each strand as you go

4. fix problem areas

5. put anti frizz serum in your hair and go!

Is there anyway to straighten really curly hair without blowdrying or chemically straightening it?

Buy a blow dryer with an attachable brush. I know how hard it is to use both hands, but if you buy this you will only need to use one, and it goes really fast and looks really good if you do it in layers. Sometimes you might want to run through it with a straightener though.

Is there anyway to straighten really curly hair without blowdrying or chemically straightening it?

O.K start with your shampoo and conditioner. Get something that promotes straight hair. John Freeda has a good line for this. Once out of the shower put a product like moose or some sort of gell that reduces frizz. Section off your hair and blow dry each section with a round spiral brush. You hair might look a little frizzy and crazy but once finished with this step section off your hair again and then straighten each section with a straightener. Before you straighten your hair get a spray that protects your hair from the heat of the straightener.

Is there anyway to straighten really curly hair without blowdrying or chemically straightening it?

Buy a really cheap hair straightener at your nearest drugstore. They take half the time of blowdrying and give your hair a shiny glow.

Is there anyway to straighten really curly hair without blowdrying or chemically straightening it?

There is a flat iron straightener that I have. I can't remember the name right off hand but you can use it on wet hair and skip blow drying and cut your styling time in half. I believe it is from Conair. You also need a really good straightening balm. I recommend Redkin Align. It smells really good and does a wonderful job!

Hair for leaver's ball-how to get it curly?

I'd really like curly hair for my leaver's ball and am wondering what's the best way to go about it in a salon. Do i ask for a perm, or is there something a little cheaper and less permanent? Please help

Hair for leaver's ball-how to get it curly?

See if they will curl your hair with curlers. The ones that are like straightners but they curl instead. Or see if your friends have any Curlers, you could borrow them. Its not permanent at all, it'll probably flatten out the next day/when you next wash your hair. Good luck.

Any tips to make hair stay curly without the frizz?

I have really curly hair but as soon as it dries it becomes very frizzy. I was wondering if anyone has any tips that can help me

Any tips to make hair stay curly without the frizz?

I have wavy-curly hair that looks like a frizzy semi-straight mess if I don't treat it right. When I want to wear it curly, this is what I do (I read it somewhere; for treating curly hair):

First, before you go to bed, brush your hair a lot to distribute the oils, which will originate from your scalp. I say do it before bed, because if you do it after a shower in the morning, it's more likely to frizz. You can also brush first thing in the morning, or any time you're not going out in public %26amp; don't care.

Second, don't wash your hair every day. Two or three times a week, wash only the roots. I do this by soaking my hair, then flipping my head over. I put shampoo in the palm of one hand, and use the fingertips of the other to work small amounts of shampoo into my roots, beginning in the front, then around the ears and as far up as I can go toward my crown and the back without shampooing it ALL. Then I put my hair back where it goes, tilt my head far back, and use my fingertips, beginning at the nape of the neck. Just be sure you rinse your face, too, as you probably will have dripped some suds, and I frequently get them up my nose (that burns a little).

When you wash, or even daily if you prefer, condition your hair thoroughly. It is recommended that you begin with the roots (I massage the scalp as I go), and work your way out. I use the same method as when I shampoo. However, after I've done my roots %26amp; all, I'll totally cream my hair. Pile it loosely on top of your head, and let the conditioner sit for 2-5 minutes. If you do your hair first, you can let it sit while you wash the rest of you, shave, etc. I've probably let the conditioner sit in my hair for 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, especially if you've loaded on the conditioner. I will usually tip my head forward and let it run off by my face, similar to the way I rinse when I color my hair.

Don't wring out your hair when you're done. Instead, gently squeeze the water out. Then lightly wrap a towel in a turban for a while. When you towel-dry your hair, don't rub too much. Again, you'll want to squeeze the water into the towel, and leave it a little damp.

Use a pick to eliminate possible tangles, and always start from the bottom to avoid breakage.

I recently picked up some Clairol Herbal Essences Smoothing Creme with aloe on a whim. Since my style change, and devotion to soft, curly hair, I plan to NEVER buy a different product. It's lovely!!!

When using styling products, it is advisable to NOT begin application near the roots, especially when utilizing your hair's natural oils. I mean styling products such as this. Anything used for smoothing, etc. (Volumizing products are usually applied at the roots first.) I squeeze about a dime-size amount in the palm of my hand, rub my hands together, and apply it by scrunching it into my hair. If it were longer, I would probably begin at the ends, but it's only to my shoulders at its longest. Once I've reduced the amount of product ON MY HANDS, I will direct more attention to root areas, and around my face. If you START there, you may look greasy.

If you blow-dry, use a diffuser, and keep the heat low. If you use the smoothing creme (found in a green squeeze bottle; mine), I would apply a decent amount BEFORE drying, and use just a little tiny bit to settle your look AFTER drying and/or styling.

You may want to avoid sprays, spritzes, and gels, as they often contain alcohol, which will dry out your hair AND require more frequent washing. This will ultimately cancel out everything I've just told you.

I swear by Dove hair care products. The only reason I picked up the Herbal Essences is that I didn't see anything like it near the Dove products. When I run out, I will look again, and try anything similar made by Dove. Otherwise, I'll probably stick with what I've got for life.

Good luck to you :-)

Any tips to make hair stay curly without the frizz?

I suggest that you apply a bit of mousse to it wet and pick it out (or use a large toothed comb). Do not blow it dry all the way and always use a diffuser. When you are finished, apply a bit of hair oil.

Try getting a relaxer, or you can wet your hair and get a couple big globs of conditioner, massge it in and leave it for 15-20 minutes, then rinse it out. Also try some frizz control cream, it works really well.
