i have wavy/curly hair that is always frizzy and gets poofy so that i can't wear it down. how do i get my hair to have curls that stay and keep frizz from poofing my hair without going to the barbers?

it totally depends on what kind of look you're going for. I have the same kind of hair. I use Biosilk Silk Therapy when its really humid outside and i KNOW its going to get frizzy anyway... it makes your hair really soft and keeps the curl... i like having straight off the beach kind of waves in my hair sometimes... in which case, i just don't blow dry it, and use a leave in conditioner (i prefer Tigi's Bedhead). Also, usually any kind of mouse will usually help tame locks, while keeping the curl in there. There's a line by Tigi called Catwalk- Curls Rock... Its kind of expensive... but I swear by it... :) They have shampoo, conditioner, and hair gel... it smells good... and keeps your hair nice... use that stuff... then scrunch your hair while its wet... let it air dry... and give it some hair spray or mouse... it won't be as frizzy... :)

I know many girls who share your problem. Some put gel all over and it looks good sometimes but that's more for curly curly hair. Also, this tends to cause them dandruff. You can use bath of creme (not conditioner, usually the big fat bottle) for your hair to make it softer, that way the poof will go down. You can also blow-dry it and grab your hair with pins during the night, that way you'll have awesome curls in the morning, but you need gel or some other hair product to hold it.

A good shampoo and conditioner like Catwalk Curls Rocks works well, as does Frizzeze hair serum.

Other than that - dont go out in the rain as that will just make it worse!!!
