I want to make my curly hair wavy.. how ?

I have super curly hair and want it to be wavy. I tried irons and things but can't get it wavy. Do straightening balms work ? What should i do ?

I have used an over the counter no-lye relaxer with great results. My hair was wavy before, with frizzy tendencies. Now, it's straight after I blowdry. I don't even need the expensive, and hair damaging, flat iron. Try it like I did at home, or if you feel more comfortable, go to a salon. My hair is so much easier to handle.

i have to warn you, one or two of the ideas i have use curlers, but in the end, they can create a wavy look:

buy those soft curlers and sleep in them. it is soooo easy and you save so much time in the morning. you just take them out and only brush the top of your hair otherwise you brush right through the curls. and for looser, messier, waves/curls, you separate each curl in two. it is a more casual, less shirley temple look.

then for wavier waves, sleep in braids. (the number depending on how wavy you want your hair. i would probably recommend about eight or so) then you just take them out in the morning and just brush the top of your hair. you can use hairspray, but i usually dont need it, but then again, my hair holds waves really well......

and if you shower in the morning, scrunch your hair with mousse and it looks pretty good but might get a little frizzy.

then towel dry

but not like crazy

just to wear its not as wet

i would suggest you put some product in because us curly heads seem to have a little bit of frizzy hair

but use it ONLY ON THE ENDS

and the sides of the your face because m y those hairs tend to get frizzy too
