Should She Cut Her Split Ends Even Though Her Hair Is Curly?

My sister has spilt ends. She said that she doesn't know if she needs to cut it because she has curly hair and you can't really notice it, but when she straightned her hair, the split ends shows. But since she normally leaves her hair curly, does she still have to cut the ends? And besides, you don't really need to cut the split ends, right? Is there a shampoo for it?

Also, is there a shampoo that makes your hair grow faster?

I have red/brown curly hair and I hate how easy it is to get split ends. Your sister can do a few more things to prevent them from happening fast like most of us curly haired guys/girls out there.

What I have had to do is find a really good deep conditioner. I now have to use this once a week. Since most white girls dont have the natural oils getting to the end of our hair cause of our hair being so thin (yes most white girls have thin hair even if it looks like its really thick). I also have to get two kinds of shampoo and conditioner. The reason for this is cause there are all kinds of weather that makes my hair frizz that one type of shampoo and conditioner doesnt help with when another does. I also have different kinds of hiar products I use for all the different days that my hair wants to not do as I tell. Now for your sister yes she needs to get a trim. Now if she was to talk to a salon about what she should use for her hair they all will say something different. There is never going to be the best product for your hair. Now with this in mind she will have to spend the money to find what she needs for her hair.

Now for the growth you are talking about yes there is something she and you can do and trust me it sounds funny for any age to do this but get pre-natal vitamins. They help hair growth and nail growth.

I have also tried hair products for all kinds of hair and found that I have to switch hair care products every year or so just to find the product that has changed or even the ones that seem fit for my hair. Its a never ending battle and it can cost allot of money for care of curls.

you need to cut split ends if you want your hair to grow

you should get your hair trimmed every couple of weeks. even though your sisters split ends don't show, she should probably get them cut. it means that the ends of her hair are dead and lifeless. i'm sure her hair will look much better, either curly or straight, once she gets it trimmed

no shampoo is going to fix split ends, prevent maybe, but not fix. you should get your hair cut about very 4 months to get rid of split ends because when you do, your hair can grow faster and look better

split ends= evil

To keep her hair healthy she needs to have the split ends trimmed off......curly or not. No shampoo or chemical can repair split ends.

Yes you have to cut off the split ends otherwise they will travel up the hair shaft and then you won't be able to get rid if them by trimming the ends and your hair will start to break off ,you will then have to cut your hair shorter to get rid of them. Try pre natal vitamins, they might make your hair grow faster. check out the shampoos at a health food store, you might find a shampoo there but I don't know if they really work.

If you find that there's a need based on the fact that split ends do not have an appeal to you, do it. otherwise, leave it alone.

No matter your hair type, you need to get split ends trimmed about every 6-8 weeks roughly. In order to keep hair healthy, product wise, the best is to condition regularly and to deep condition weekly if you have the time. There are no products that will make your hair grow faster as it is coming out from your scalp.

Of course you need to cut your slit ends, even though you don't see it, it doesn't mean you can pretend it's not there. You can't fix slit ends with shampoo, but you can prevent it with a specialty shampoo a stylist can recommend you or a store that has salon quality products.

Everyone needs to keep their hair maintained, so get a cut every 7 - 12 weeks, depending on the length and health condition of the hair. When you do so your hair will stay healthier and will have a more alive look.
